Terms & Conditions
These terms govern the supply and fitting of vehicle glass by Central Windscreens. By placing a booking you agree to them. Please read the relevant sections — particularly booking & cancellation, ADAS calibrations and finance.
1. Booking & Cancellation
Your booking is confirmed once you receive an appointment confirmation from us by SMS or email. Because we order glass to your exact vehicle specification and allocate a technician in advance, the following cancellation terms apply.
Free cancellation
You may cancel free of charge if you cancel within 24 hours of placing your booking, provided your appointment is not within 48 hours of the time you cancel.
20% cancellation charge
If you cancel after appointment confirmation and outside the free-cancellation window above — that is, more than 24 hours after booking, or where your appointment falls within 48 hours of your cancellation — you will be liable for a charge of 20% of the total booking cost. This covers glass ordering, scheduling and technician allocation already committed to your job.
- Rescheduling is treated the same as a cancellation for the purpose of these windows; we will always try to accommodate a new date where possible.
- Failure to provide safe access to the vehicle at the agreed appointment, or a no-show, may be treated as a late cancellation (20%).
- Where you have paid in full, any cancellation charge will be deducted and the balance refunded to your original payment method.
- These cancellation terms do not affect your statutory rights where glass is found to be faulty or the service is not carried out.
2. Warranty
Every installation carried out by Central Windscreens is covered by a 12-month workmanship and installation warranty, using brand-new OEM-specification glass fitted by IMI-qualified technicians.
What the warranty covers
- Defects in the fitting, bonding or sealing of the glass we installed.
- Water leaks or wind noise directly attributable to our installation.
- Trim, mouldings and clips fitted by us as part of the job.
What the warranty does not cover
- New stone chips, cracks or impact damage occurring after fitting.
- Damage caused by accident, misuse, abuse, attempted DIY repair or third-party work.
- Pre-existing bodywork, corrosion, trim or paint issues around the glass aperture.
- Problems arising from driving before the recommended safe-drive-away / cure time.
- ADAS calibration and the operation of driver-assistance systems (see section 3).
To make a claim, contact us with your booking reference. We will inspect the vehicle and, where a genuine workmanship fault is confirmed, remedy it free of charge. The warranty applies only to glass fitted by Central Windscreens and is non-transferable.
3. ADAS Calibrations
Please note: we do not carry out ADAS calibrations.
Central Windscreens does not perform ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) calibration. It is not included in your fitted price and is charged separately.
Many modern vehicles have a forward-facing camera or sensors mounted to the windscreen that power features such as lane-keep assist and autonomous emergency braking. After a windscreen replacement, these systems often require recalibration to function correctly.
- Calibration is not included in your quoted or fitted price and is an additional cost.
- It is the customer's responsibility to ensure any required calibration is carried out after replacement, by a manufacturer-approved or suitably qualified calibration provider.
- Where requested, we may be able to refer you to a third-party calibration specialist at additional cost. Any such work is supplied by that third party under their own terms and pricing.
- Central Windscreens accepts no liability for the operation of ADAS or safety systems where calibration has not been carried out, nor for the cost of any calibration.
4. Fleet & Trade Accounts
Fleet and trade accounts are available to businesses operating multiple vehicles, subject to agreement. They provide account pricing, priority scheduling, consolidated records and driver communication.
- Account pricing, invoicing and payment terms are set out in your individual account agreement; a purchase order may be required before work is carried out.
- The account holder is responsible for ensuring each vehicle is available and accessible at its booked appointment.
- Fleet bookings are subject to the booking & cancellation terms in section 1.
- Job records and completion details are provided where vehicle and driver information is supplied.
- We may suspend account terms where invoices remain unpaid beyond the agreed period.
5. Finance — Klarna (Pay Monthly / Pay Later)
Where offered, pay-later and pay-monthly options are provided by Klarna, a third-party finance provider. Central Windscreens is the retailer, not the lender.
- Finance is subject to status, eligibility and Klarna's affordability and credit checks. Approval is not guaranteed.
- Your credit agreement is with Klarna and is governed by Klarna's own terms and conditions, which you should read in full before proceeding.
- Missed or late payments may result in charges from Klarna and could affect your credit rating and ability to obtain credit in future.
- Central Windscreens is not responsible for Klarna's decisions, fees, communications or processes, and receives no part of any interest or charges.
- Finance options are typically available to UK residents aged 18 and over. Terms are indicative and set by Klarna.
6. Pricing, VAT & General
- All customer-facing prices are inclusive of VAT unless stated otherwise.
- Online quotes are based on the vehicle and feature details you provide. If the glass specification differs on inspection, we will confirm any change in price with you before proceeding.
- Same-day availability and appointment windows are subject to glass stock and technician coverage and cannot be guaranteed.
- We supply brand-new OEM-specification glass; we do not supply or fit secondhand glass.
- These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and do not affect your statutory consumer rights.
